Went in today after my scheduled appointment for Tuesday apparently didn’t actually get scheduled. Different doctor this time (first time), so an unfamiliar face. Eh, no big deal. Took a swab (of my … poop chute) for a GBS culture (I think that’s what it’s called) and they drew some blood for anemia testing, which for some reason hadn’t been done yet. If it comes back anemic, I would not be at all surprised — I just feel tired all the time.
While waiting for the doctor to come swab me, I was sitting next to an U/S machine, so I played with it a little bit, heh. Put my hand on the wand, and I could see my bones pretty well, so i picked it up and pressed it just under my ribcage, and could see Ivy’s legs clear as day (yay, looks like she’s vertex to stay). That was pretty cool. I put it back before anyone came in.
Got another quicky U/S from the doctor, who asked if [my normal doctor] had mentioned induction. I told her that they had, when I was in L&D for the BP issues back in early May, and she responded that because of my BP (which came in at 130/70 — same as last week) she didn’t think I was going to make it all the way to 40 weeks, and they’d probably want to induce around 37 or 38 weeks. Things just got accelerated!
I still have the Level II Ultrasound scheduled for July 14th, which is the day before week 37 begins. Got another appointment on Tuesday (week 36), so, we’ll see how things go. Meanwhile, I’m curious about the blood test comes back.
