Went in for a growth ultrasound today (a Level I) and got all sorts of measurements. The tech estimated about 6lb 14oz right now, which is, I believe, right about where a baby should be at basically 37 weeks. If they gain half an ounce a day, that would put her an additional 11 ounces heavier, which would be 7lbs 9oz, at 40 weeks. 🙂
Got an adorable shot of her face, showing her chubby cheeks, and a couple profile shots where she’s got her hands up around her head, including one with her right hand to her forehead, all dramatic-like, LOL! I asked the tech if she could tell whether the baby is presenting anterior (facing out) or posterior (facing in), and wouldn’t ya know it, Ivy went for option C. None of the above. She’s sideways… not transverse, just her head was facing the tech as I laid on my back. They call this “neutral” presentation. Also got to see her practicing her breathing again, which is good!
So, much more pleasant experience with this U/S than before. Happy happy 🙂 I’ll put the photos online, once we get our DSL at home “fixed.”
