I plan to spend most of the day around Triberg, in the heart of the Black Forest on the 18th. Home to cuckoo clocks and the highest waterfalls in Germany. At first I was thinking about hitting some of the Westweg in the area, but the Panoramaweg (circular hiking trail) around Triberg and the Falls themselves sounds wonderful, so I will stick around a bit more locally (with a side trip to Schonach to see the world’s largest cuckoo clock, of course). Sample some Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (the Black Forest cake) and Kirschwasser (cherry brandy) while I’m there. Maybe go all out and have some ham, as well. After all, when in Rome… 🙂
Oh and by the way the weather looks to be fabulous! Ahhh.
